4th of july mini pies

oh how i love the 4th of july!
the best colors and food and really i'll take anything that ends in late summer night fireworks.

to celebrate we're snacking on mini mason jar pies around here...apple and cherry and blueberry, respectively. they're the perfect little servings and loads of fun to make (which has been a happy distraction while waiting on this baby already)

you can find the recipe here...

  3. Love the idea of mini anything, but especially mini-desserts--easier to have seconds! Love the brilliant whites & reds. Beautiful.

  6. eep! you're almost there! :) maybe little sister will be born on max's birthday! or my birthday (the 5th.) or my son's birthday (the 10th!) i always get to hear my mom talk about seeing the fireworks out of the car window as my dad drove her to the hospital. :)

  7. Those look delicious and so adorable- they're the perfect way to use all the glass ramekins I have left over from eating far too many gu puddings :) I imagine these would be brilliant wedding or party favours.
