summer garden

time to plant the summer garden---hands in dirt with fingers crossed that something grows---lots of greens and chasing away squirrels.

  1. I like planning and planting and hanging out at the nursery almost more than I like picking the first basket of goodies!

Enjoy playing the dirt! I don't think we're ever too old for that. :)

  2. Yay! Isn't garden planting time the best time of the year? We are moving in the middle of the summer, so I don't think i'll be able to have a veggie garden, but i'm at least hoping to have a couple herbs in a pot that can move with us. I can't wait to see how your garden grows and thrives!

  4. I love gardening. Noting is more relaxing than getting your hands dirty while planting cherry tomatoes. If only my cats weren't so fond of digging up the freshly planted seedlings...

  6. Hey Katie,

We planted our garden from seed and thus far it has grown despite hail and colorado snow. Are you trying from seed or are you going the starter plant route? I am curious about your experience with your chosen option.

    Have fun!

  7. I must admit - I was attracted to your post because of the picture of tomatoes. My stepson and I both LOVE tomatoes and even hold tomato eating competitions. Beautiful photos!
